Trader referral scheme

This page lists traders who have been employed by residents and whose work is reckoned by them to be satisfactory. It is an on-line version of word-of-mouth referral practised in most communities.

How it works

Anyone living in the Forum's area can refer a trader to this page if they are pleased with their work. Brief details of the trader and the work are published below.
The referrer's details are noted by the organiser but not openly published on this site.
Anyone living in the Forum's area finding what looks like a suitable trader in the list can ask the organiser for the referrer's contact details — enquirers are asked to treat them in confidence.
The enquirer then speaks to the referrer(s) and makes a private decision about employing the trader. Neither the Forum nor the organiser is involved in this decision.
The enquirer eventually pays back the service by offering their comments to the list. This keeps the list fresh.
Traders cannot buy their way onto the list — this is NOT advertising.
Only residents of the Forum area can make referrals, not traders.
Caution: it is always unwise to do business with traders whose base address you do not know. All those listed have given their full details and we will not include any who do not. Full addresses are not published here for reasons of space but can be provided by the Forum or by referrers.
